Yin & Sound - Water to Wood 2026

In this 8-week series we will explore the transition from late Winter and the Water Element into the beginning of Spring and the Wood Element. Connecting our practice with the seasons, we’ll gently awaken from winter’s stillness and begin to cultivate movement, growth, and new possibilities—like shoots emerging after months of rest. We’ll focus on practices that encourage circulation, flexibility, and intention-setting, supporting the body’s natural rhythm of expansion and renewal. As we move from the deep restoration and wisdom of Water into the vision, creativity, and upward energy of Wood, this series will help cultivate clarity, motivation, and a sense of aligned growth as we step into the brighter, more dynamic energy of Spring.

Building on this seasonal transition, you’ll be guided through a mindful Yin Yoga practice that bridges stillness with gentle awakening—an invitation to nourish the roots while preparing for growth. Through longer-held, intentional shapes, we’ll invite breath into areas of stagnation, supporting the connective tissues, joints, and energetic pathways associated with the Wood element. With the support of props, the practice offers both stability and spaciousness, encouraging ease, release, and a sense of inner flow rather than force. Each session will conclude with an extended savasana, accompanied by a carefully curated sound meditation using crystal bowls, gong, chimes, steel drums, and voice—designed to gently energize, harmonize, and align body, mind, and spirit as we emerge into Spring.

If you're trying Yin for the first time or are a seasoned practitioner, everyone is welcome.
